Hospice SLO County's Walk for Healing fundraiser coincides with Global Employee Health & Fitness Month this May 2024. It's an excellent opportunity for individuals and employees to prioritize their health and wellbeing. We invite you to participate in the WALK FOR HEALING challenge, make healthy choices, and take time to care for yourself. By joining the event, you can feel a sense of healing and connection while supporting Hospice SLO County's mission to help those facing life-limiting illness or grief.

The Goal

Our collective goal is to reach 25,000 miles and raise $60,000 in 6 weeks.

When

Registration Opens: April 15, 2024

Challenge Starts: April 29, 2024

Challenge Ends: June 9, 2024

Registration

$30 per participant

It's as easy as 1 - 2 - 3!

Register on or after April 15, 2024. Participate individually, with a team, or create your own team.
Set a personal fitness goal and track your miles for the 6 weeks using your own fitness device or the Charity Footprints App.
Once you register, you will have a link to your own unique fundraising page. If you wish, you can personalize your page with your fundraising goal and send your link to friends and family to donate in your name.

Form a team and challenge other teams to some friendly competition.
If you are a business, May is Global Employee Health & Fitness Month! Use this walk to help your staff participate in this global event.
Post a photo of your participation on your Instagram and tag us #walkforhealing2024 and #hospiceslocounty.
Earn Charity Footprints* and a chance to win an individual or team trophy.
*1 Miles covered = 50 Footprints; $1 raised = 25 Footprints

The WALK FOR HEALING challenge will raise funds to ensure Hospice SLO County has enough resources for a robust Counseling Program, a strong In-Home Support Program, a dedicated Pet Peace of Mind Program, and a growing Volunteer Corps. Your participation will make a direct impact on our services as we continue to see an increased need in SLO County. 100% of our funding comes from individual donations, grants, bequests, and fundraisers.
