Support Groups
Hospice SLO County offers support groups that provide emotional support and education about the grief process and are about finding comfort through connecting with others who have had a similar experience.
Our support groups are held in a closed group format. Groups are conducted in person, and pre-registration and phone screening are required to attend.
Click on the “Sign Up” button below the listing of the group you would like to attend, and a Support Group Facilitator will reach out to discuss the next steps once your information is received.
If you have questions, please feel free to contact us at 805-544-2266.
Please note that all groups are offered without charge, although tax-deductible donations are always appreciated as we are a non-profit organization.
Attention Support Group Participants:
Please be advised that support groups may be canceled when there is severe weather forecasted (high winds/rain/road closures/power outages) and programs at Hospice SLO County will be cancelled and our agency closed for safety.
This support group for SLO County residents, meets virtually to encourage, support, and emphasize self-care for family caregivers regardless of the diagnosis of the care receiver. If you live outside the area, please contact your local Area Agency on Aging or Caregiver Resource Center for local resources.
The only exception to the in-person closed group is the virtual online “Family Caregiver Support Group” which is an ongoing drop-in group with registration online. After registering, you will receive an automatic message with the link to the Zoom meeting. Be sure to check your spam folder if it does not arrive immediately. Please call (805) 544-2266 if you do not receive an email or have any problems or questions.
